Important Customer Information

Thank you for choosing Reliant Electrical, Inc. for your electric vehicle (EV) charger installation. We are a certified contractor through the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) for the installation of EV charging stations.

This guide outlines customer responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and the scope of our services.

Permitting and Inspection Requirements

Customer Responsibility:

You are responsible for applying for and scheduling any required permits and inspections with your local municipality unless a separate written agreement states that Reliant Electrical, Inc. will handle this on your behalf.

Typical Local Requirements May Include:

• Electrical permit application

• Rough-in and/or final inspection by your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)

Please note: We cannot guarantee your charger will be approved for use until all required inspections have passed and municipal compliance is confirmed.

Scope of Our Services

As part of our certified role under the ICC EV Installer Program, Reliant Electrical, Inc. agrees to:

• Install EV charging equipment in accordance with:

• The electrical code adopted by your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)

• Applicable state and federal regulations

• Manufacturer specifications

• Provide, upon request:

• A basic load calculation for your existing electrical service (additional fee typically $165)

• A copy of our active ICC Certification

What Is Not Included Unless Contracted Separately

The following services are not included in a standard installation unless agreed to in writing:

• Permit application or inspection scheduling

• Utility service upgrades or coordination with ComEd

• Submission of rebate or tax credit paperwork

• Internet/Wi-Fi setup for smart chargers

• Warranty registration for third-party chargers

• Supply of EV charging equipment unless explicitly stated in the invoice or contract
